About the Author: Leah Heling
Residing in Milwaukee, WI, Leah Heling is married with two adult children and three grandchildren. She is a teacher, speaker, and author. As a self-published author, she now pursues the role of publicist for my book.
Recently Heling’s love for teaching has been further realized through writing. Her favorite genre is Christian educational encouragement with the purpose of promoting the spiritual growth of the reader. The goal of her Christ-centered writing seeks to assist believers in their walk of faith so they may have the peace of God, joy, and gratitude even in the most distressing times.
Years ago Heling’s lack of spiritual maturity was a concern. Worries and fears caused her concern about the kind of faith she had. Although she was saved through faith, she did not know how to live by faith. Greatly lacking in a consistent daily dependent trust in the Lord Jesus, Heling did not understand the verse: “As the Lord commands, As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord [by faith], so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith” (Col. 2:6-7). However, through the consistent intake of the Word of God, the Lord developed her faith to be more consistent which resulted in true joy in the Lord. Consequently, He placed upon her heart the desire to encourage other believers how to live by faith, to spiritually thrive not just survive regardless of the circumstances. The result was the writing of “LifeQuakes: God’s Rescue Plan in Hard Times”—a how-to-guide book for living by faith.
Although the content of Heling’s writing is insightful and substantial, her writing style is conversational and easy to read. Readers of Heling’s work have described it as a practical and comprehensive writing approach to God’s truths for everyday living, which distinguishes her from other Christian writers.

Scripturally Sound Teaching!
Very good read!
From the time I picked this book up I didn’t want to put it down. The auther shared many of the personal problems and situations that we all face in our own lives. She showed how faith in the Lord lead her throuth these trials in her life. This was all referanced with scripture. “LifeQuakes” was very inspirational and a great testimony. I have put a copy of this book in my office nad recommended often.

Very encouraging! I have already read this book and have started reading it a second time. The gospel is clearly presented as well as how the Christian life is lived. It centers around Jesus Christ and takes a grace perspective on trials and suffering. It is easy to get discouraged in this sin cursed world but thankfully the Lord has shown us hope through His son Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us and this book clearly portrays this. Heling backs up her beliefs with numerous bible passages, and the godly perspective we should have in our trials is communicated directly from the bible. I would definitely recommend this book!
